"External Display Screen"

In the "Video Settings" menu there is an option for "External Display Screen" what does this mean? Would I be able to use my PC monitor as the top screen for the DS and my Nexus 7 tablet as the touch screen for the DS?

As far as I know, this is for if your Tablet has a HDMI out port or supports MHL, the connected display can show a screen from drastic ds
